CALL FOR OUTREACH COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Would you like to help All Saints’ reach out to Austin, to Texas, and to the world? Here’s your opportunity to take part in renewing our Outreach Committee’s ministry which will be working on defining the role our Church plays in service to others. If you’re at all interested in joining the All Saints' Outreach Committee (to help make our ideas and our faith count for those who are in need and who could benefit from the church’s mission), we want to invite you to an informational meeting to help in your discernment. Please contact our Outreach Committee Chairman, Charles Lohrman at chaslohr@aol.com or 477-0920, or Mike Adams mike@allsaints-austin.org or 476-3589 to let them know of your interest and when you might
be available for a meeting. Thank you!

YOUTH MISSION TRIP NEEDS

The June 9-13 Youth Mission Trip group has grown in number, beyond wildest expectations, necessitating more housing and transportation and therefore funding. If you can donate toward the additional $1500, please submit to the church with mission trip on the memo line. There is also a need for supplies. Contact Elizabeth Gibson at 963-0054 if you are willing to help.                     Construction needs:

  * Lowes & Home Depot gift cards
  * Drop cloths, scrapers, rags
  * New paint brushes, pans, rollers
  * goggles, masks, gloves
Food needs for St. Vincent’s:
  * Canned tuna or chicken
  * Canned fruit and veggies
  * Vienna sausage

We also need: pirate party paraphernalia; luau decorations; and party prizes. The youth mission trip always welcomes small treats offered by the parish to enjoy on the trip...in past years these have included board games. There will be a Mission 2008 booth outside the Church between services if you can contribute!

JUNE 8th ADULT ED: SUMMER READING

Now is the time to think about summer, beach, more
leisure, and catching up with the stack of books by your bed. Long rides in planes, trains, cars, maybe cruise ships! But come prepared to tell about a book you want to recommend to everyone in attendance! Fiction, non- fiction, humor, mysteries, whatever you like! This is an important way Saints communicate!! Please write me an email at lvanallen@austin.rr.com to let me know what you plan to talk about. I’m really looking forward to hearing from you! Lanny van Allen

HEAVENLY HOSTS  WANTED

All Saints’ is starting a new ministry of Christian hospitality known as the “Heavenly Hosts”.  The purpose of this group of Church angels will be to offer assistance at various Church gatherings and events such as receptions, the Annual Parish Picnic, Wednesday Night Out, etc.  Due to the growth of our congregation in recent years and the subsequent increase in the various parish life events we are hosting, there is an urgent need for this ministry.  Participation will be on a rotational basis.

To be included in this celestial group is as easy as completing the form below and dropping it in the alms basin or by the church office.

Contact Jane Lilly-Schotz (476-5913) or Robin Edmonds (231-1333)
for more information.  Be an angel and sign up today!
