The Parents' Day Out program operates three classes for infants and toddlers
on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The play based program
was initiated in March 1987 under the volunteer management of Wini Wood.
Siblings of children who are in, or have been in the program receive first
consideration for openings, followed by parishioners, and then anyone else who is interested.
Nursery: Ten children from 2-18 months of age are cared for by three adults, Betty Cuan, Isabel Flores, and Jacinta Mendoza. Children play, eat, and sleep.
St. Michael’s Room: Eight children, ages 18 months to two years, are in the care of Angie Magallan and Veronica Rendon. The children play, eat, experience art, finger plays, singing, play outdoors, and nap.
Laura’s Corner: Fifteen children, ages two and three, are in the care of Estela Trejo, and
Candy Menjivar. The children play, eat, experience art, finger plays, singing, rhythm instruments, play outdoors, and nap.
Enrollment: For the year 2007-2008 session requires a $30.00 non-refundable
annual registration fee and $200.00 (2 day) or $100.00 (1 day) tuition deposit
which pays the last month of the session. The Fall Session's start date is
September 6, 2007.
Contact Wini Wood at winiwood@usa.net or 476-3589 to get on the waiting list.
Child's name, gender, birthdate, parent's name with phone and email will start
a file. No wait list fee is required. Re-enrollment of current participants
finishes in mid-March. After Spring Break, contact is made with folks on the
waiting list to finish filling classes for the June session and subsequent
fall.
