EYC Mission Trip to Galveston
The All Saints' Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) spent last week working with Saint Vincent's House in Galveston on Monday and Tuesday clearing the grounds and helping with the food bank by packing bags of dried goods and handing them out to the clients. We also painted a mural on their fence which included scraping and sanding the old paint off, priming the wood, and designing a new art piece for the space.
On Wednesday, we worked with the Turtle Island Restoration Project, and we learned about the different types of sea turtles and the ones that are found in Texas. We picked up trash on the beach and learned about the different pollution found in oceans. We've spent time as a group playing games, getting to know each other better, and opening our minds to new experiences and people.
We appreciate the support and encouragement the parish has given us.
