Protect yourself from phishing
Dear Saints,
Please be aware that once again someone is impersonating me in fraudulent email messages, and being as bold as to ask to connect over the telephone.
To protect yourself from phishing:
- If someone sends you a message you were not expecting, don’t interact with it.
- If it looks like it is from someone you know, change the mode: if they emailed you, text or call back.
- If the message has a timeline or other time pressure, be very suspicious. Friends and legitimate correspondence rarely include urgent time pressure.
- If it feels suspicious, it is suspicious.
Jesus instructs his disciples in the Gospel of Matthew (10:16) "Be wise as serpents and innocent as doves." Pray for folks who resort to preying upon the church. Pray that their hearts will be turned toward the good.
Yours in Christ,
Genevieve+
