2025 Vestry & Diocesan Council Delegate Nominations Deadline Nov. 3

The time has come again to renew parish leadership. Nominations for candidates for the All Saints’ Vestry and Diocesan Council delegates are open and now being accepted. Prayerfully consider if you or another servant leader you know in the parish is called to one these specific roles within the church.

Vestry members serve a 3-year term and work with the Rector in carrying out the mission of the church in leadership, administrative, and fiduciary capacities. Vestry members bring their gifts and wisdom from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, are actively involved in one or more parish ministries, and are regular in worship. Church canons require that Vestry members are Confirmed (or Received) members of the Episcopal Church and have a record of financially supporting the parish.

Council Delegates fit the same profile but serve at diocesan council, always held in February. Council is a gathering of elected delegates from all congregations, college ministries, lay heads of congregations, and canonically resident clergy. Article 2 of the EDOT Constitution details the membership of Council. The Bishop serves as ex-officio president of the council. Delegates receive reports from diocesan staff and institution leaders and vote for diocesan leadership and on resolutions.

Come to the Church Office or click on the link below to fill out a Candidate Information Form. If you are nominating another individual, the Candidate Information Form must include the nominee’s consent to be considered.

The deadline for nominations is November 3. Please submit Candidate Information Forms with accompanying photos (either physical or digital) to Mona Myers ([email protected]) or her mailbox in the Church Office.

The Nomination Committee of the Vestry will consider nominees and recommend Vestry candidates and Council delegates/alternate to the full Vestry. Upon Vestry approval, the slate of candidates will be presented at the Parish Election Meeting held on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
