Donate items to Stuff the Stockings!
Every year, our 2nd-5th graders in Production Company, sew stockings and decorate them for the clients who obtain assistance from Loaves and Fishes. Loaves and Fishes volunteers hand out these 60 stockings
to clients seeking assistance. Many clients either do not usually
receive gifts on Christmas or use the items in these stockings to give
to family.
We ask parishioners to donate items to Stuff the Stockings! Consider: What are your favorite things under $5-10 that you think are awesome and amazing that will fit in a stocking? Please bring items between 9am and noon on Friday, December 6 and place them in the box in Gregg House, so that the children can Stuff the Stockings on December 8.
In addition to a few of your favorite things, these items are also useful and appreciated:
- hygiene items for men, grooming items, especially soap and deodorant
- gloves, caps, scarves, fun socks
- flashlight with batteries, small tools or tool kits, or sewing kits
- pens, pencils, small games and puzzles, books
- $5-$10 gift cards to a place for a hot or sweet treat
We place several items in a 6” X 18” stockings.
Please do not wrap any of the gifts. Include batteries if the item requires them!
The stocking project allows our children to make a meaningful contribution toward the well-being of others and helps make Christmas special for our Loaves and Fishes clients. Thank you for your generosity!
