Transitions in the Church Office
Dear Saints,
It was just last week that we celebrated Seminary Sunday, and I noted our close ties with Seminary of the Southwest. The transitions I share with you now are certainly evidence of this close relationship.
Emily Tumbush, who has been serving as Administrative Assistant, is moving to a position in hospitality at the seminary. Emily has been a tremendous support to my ministry and a wonderful addition to the staff. Emily writes, “I find myself filled with deep gratitude for the warmth and kindness I have experienced within this incredible community. Your love, support, and unwavering welcome have truly made this place feel like a second home.” We give thanks for Emily’s ministry among us and know that she will be a blessing to the seminary community.
Ellen Huckabay (pictured), is a “middler” seminarian and arrives this Sunday to begin her first year of fieldwork with us. She joins our senior seminarian Gabbie Munn who is in her second year of fieldwork. Ellen hails from Fairhope, Alabama (Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast). Prior to discerning a call to ordained ministry, she worked for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (Auburn University) as a horticulturist and then as the Director of Christian Formation at St. James Episcopal Church, Fairhope. Her family has been worshipping at All Saints’ since 2023 and you likely have met her husband George and 13-year-old son, Will. Will is an active participant in our acolyte corps and youth group. Ellen writes, “I am excited to be serving and learning with All Saints’ for the next two years and getting to know each one of you.”
Join me in praying Godspeed for Emily in her new endeavors and extending a warm welcome to Ellen. We are grateful for them both and our ties to Seminary of the Southwest.
Faithfully in Christ,
The Rev. Genevieve Razim, Rector
